Rooted in the Past, Preparing for the Future: Enhancing your SSHG Program (Grades 1-8)
This Summer Institute demonstrates how educators can enhance their Social Studies, History, and Geography program using a blend of 21st century tools and local, primary sources. An inquiry-based learning approach will guide exploration of the role of Thinking Concepts, digital tools, and primary sources in planning, delivering, and assessing. Participants can also explore relevant Indigenous resources, pedagogies and worldviews and determine how to incorporate them into their classroom environment/programming.
