- provides a starting points as we aim to help students see their own identities reflected in the curriculum
- guides teachers through discussions to determine strategies relevant to the students that are in front of them
- aligns with the guidelines for Equity and Inclusive Education in Ontario.

Culturally Relevant and Responsive Pedagogy is comprised of three components:
Academic Success
- Demonstrate a culture of high expectations of all students, with necessary provision of support
- Use high-yield teaching Strategies and differentiate instruction
- Monitor student success through precise and consistent Assessment AS, FOR, and OF Learning
- Develop and foster caring relationships with and among students
- Demonstrate collaborative, innovative problem solving
