In this grade 6 Strand A French lesson teachers will use the primary source texts of six Canadian Sikhs being interviewed about their sense of Canada as an inclusive society, specifically focusing on their personal and varied experiences as Sikhs within broader and local Canadian contexts. Students will evaluate evidence and draw conclusions about the perspectives of these six Sikhs on how far Canada has come, and how far it still needs to go, to becoming a fully inclusive society.
