In this series of French lessons for Grade 6 Strand A , (which may last over a few weeks) , students will develop background knowledge and related relevant vocabulary about the immigration experiences and life of the Sikh community in Canada through reading comprehension activities. They will apply the social studies thinking concept of significance to identify significant events and experiences in the life of the Sikh community in Canada. They will then use the inquiry process to investigate significant events and experiences in the life of another community in Canada.
